I hope he scores another 900 goals – Luis Enrique hails Barca ´beast´ Neymar

Luis Enrique described Neymar as a beast and hopes to see the Barcelona star score another 900 goals after celebrating his 100th strike for the LaLiga giants.

It was a match to remember for Neymar, who brought up the century milestone in Barca s 4-1 win over Granada on Sunday.

The 25-year-old Brazil international joined the likes of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez in Barca s 100 club after 177 appearances thanks to his stoppage-time volley.

And head coach Luis Enrique showered Neymar who moved to Camp Nou from Santos in 2013 in praise post-match.

He has numbers [which show he is] a beast of a footballer, Luis Enrique said.

He s one of the most unbalancing players in the world [for opposition defences] and his signing by this club was a great decisi…

Ibrahimovic unveils shirtless ´Statue of Zlatan´ in Malmo

Zlatan Ibrahimovic helped to unveil his own shirtless statue in Malmo on Tuesday.

The LA Galaxy star has been immortalised in a striking bronze monument near Malmo s stadium, where he began his professional career in 1999.

The 38-year-old posted a picture on Twitter showing him alongside the work and surrounded by crowds of fans, with the caption: We are Zweden!!!

The bronze Zlatan, standing on a plinth and said to measure nearly nine feet in height and close to half a ton in weight, was commissioned by Sweden s football authorities to honour their record goalscorer.

It depicts Ibrahimovic celebrating in recognisable style, with arms outstretched and shirt off although his famous tattoos appear not to have been carved on the glistening torso.

It is time for Neymar to decide, says Belletti

It is time for Neymar to make a decision on his Paris Saint-Germain future, according to former Barcelona defender Juliano Belletti.

Neymar has reportedly been made available for a move should PSG receive a suitable offer, with both former club Barca and LaLiga rivals Real Madrid consistently linked with the forward.

And Belletti, who played at Camp Nou from 2004 until 2007, acknowledges the Brazil star has a big call to make.

A lot has been said about Neymar. I know hardly anything about this, he said.

For him, it is the moment to decide. He has to be very calm with his family to take the best decision.

Neymar left Barca for PSG in a world-record move in 2017, having won the Champions League once and LaLiga twice while in Catalonia.

Saudi Arabia 1-2 Mexico: El Tri out on goal difference after manic finale in Lusail

Mexico fell painfully short of the last 16 of the World Cup as a 2-1 win over Saudi Arabia at Lusail Stadium left them behind Poland on goal difference.

Salem Al Dawsari s stoppage-time consolation sealed El Tri s elimination, although they were already on their way out by an even finer margin.

An inferior fair play record to Poland, who had already lost 2-0 to Argentina, was set to separate the sides until that point.

Mexico still had two minutes in which to add a decisive third to second-half strikes from Henry Martin and Luis Chavez, but the goal they had chased for so long proved beyond them.

Tata Martino s men perhaps paid for not making more of a first half they dominated, going closest when Mohammed Al Owais denied Alexis Vega in the third minute.<…

Reveillere retires after 17-year career

Anthony Reveillere has announced his retirement at the age of 35 following a career in which he represented France, Rennes, Lyon, Napoli and Sunderland.

The defender had been without a club since leaving Sunderland at the end of last season and confirmed his 17-year career had come to an end on French television.

I stopped because of a lack of offers and also because of my family life, to stay with my children, he told Canal+.

I had gone to Sunderland alone, so it made me think.

The full-back began his career at Rennes in 1998 but, after a half-season loan stint at Valencia, spent much of his career at Lyon, where he won Ligue 1 five times while also picking up two Coupe de France winners medals during a 10-year spell at the Stade Gerland.

Robben eyes Bayern treble

Bayern Munich attacker Arjen Robben has set his sights on winning the Bundesliga title, Champions League and DFB Pokal this season.

The Netherlands international missed out on the treble in 2009-10 when Inter Milan proved to be too strong in the Champions League final, before Bayern endured two title-less seasons.

He is desperate to end their trophy drought, and is aiming to win every competition they take part in.

We have set our sights on three trophies. We want to win it all. And we have what it takes to do just that, Robben told Voetbal International.

We have not won any silverware in the past two seasons and that should not be happening to a club like Bayern. That is why we are determined to make amends this term.

This club is like a famil…

Monaco eyeing Julien Ngoy

ESPN is reporting that Ligue 1 champions Monaco are weighing up summer move for Stoke City starlet Julien Ngoy.

The Principality club are well aware they will not be able to keep hold of Kylian Mbappe for much longer and they see the Belgian as a good long-term replacement.

Ngoy is believed to be on the radar of quite a few top clubs, including Real Madrid, Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester City, but Monaco were the first to make a concrete move.

Julian Ngoy had joined Stoke City in 2013 following spells with Anderlecht, Club Brugge and NSeth Academy, and he recently started realising his potential.

While bagging 7 goals in 11 appearances for the club’s Under-23 side, the 19-year-old also featured in five Premier League fixtures.

Barcelona midfielder Paulinho returns to Chinese Super League

Paulinho has returned to the Chinese Super League, agreeing a move from Barcelona to Guangzhou Evergrande after less than a year in LaLiga.

The Brazil international was a surprise signing for Barcelona last August but helped Ernesto Valverde s men to win a domestic double of LaLiga and Copa del Rey titles, hitting nine league goals in 21 starts.

After starting all five games for his country at the World Cup, Paulinho has headed back to China with Guangzhou announcing the deal on their official website.

Paulinho won a brace of CSL crowns in his first spell with Guangzhou after joining the club from Premier League side Tottenham, where he failed to make an impact, in 2015.
