Market: Both teams to score

Odds: 8/11 @

Two sides who will be looking to pick up an early advantage when the MLS play-offs get underway, New York will host Atlanta on Sunday night.

Starting with the hosts, although New York might have signed off their regular-season run with a tough meeting against Philadelphia on home soil, Ronny Deila s side put in a rugged display. Chelsea 2-0 Tottenham: Silva spoils Conte´s latest Stamford Bridge return

Antonio Conte saw his unbeaten Premier League run as Tottenham boss end on familiar turf as Chelsea claimed a 2-0 derby win at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

A stunning finish from Hakim Ziyech and a Thiago Silva header early in the second half gave the Blues the victory as they became the first team to pass 500 points in London derby matches in the Premier League era.

Silva had earlier been involved in a controversial incident, Harry Kane seeing a goal disallowed at 0-0 after a hand in the back of the defender sent him tumbling to ground.

For Spurs, whose only win in their past 32 away league matches against Chelsea came against Conte s side in April 2018, it was a first league loss since the 3-0 reverse at home to Manchester United in October that brought Nuno Es…

Helsinki gets its chance as Real Madrid and Eintracht Frankfurt roll in for the Super Cup

Little mention of football, though. After all, ice hockey is the prominent sport here.

Finland qualified for Euro 2020, but their sole win in the competition was overshadowed by the fact it came in a game in which Denmark s Christian Eriksen collapsed on the pitch in Copenhagen, having suffered a cardiac arrest. It wa…

England expects: keep calm and glory is close for a side built on certainty

England expects. But what exactly? As Gareth Southgate’s England team prepare for the biggest game of their lives, on Sunday night, kick-off 8pm, there is something a little different about the tides of energy and noise, the sense of all-or-nothing tournament jeopardy.

The usual pageantry is present, the bunting and big screens, the pub garden flags, the feeling of some shared village fete in train. Look down the match-ups, study the tactical breakdowns, re-jig with a Gareth-esque frown your own pencilled front three, and that old stab of excitement is there.

On pitch and off, Jordan Henderson typifies Southgate’s selfless EnglandRead more

This is, in the first instance, a delicious-looking game of football. Engl…
